What are Connections

A connection is a specific implementation of a connection type. For example, if Office365 is the connection type, a specific inbox is the connection. Another example is Salesforce as the connection type and a specific case type or queue as the connection.

Connections are used in Steps while building the step factories and subsequently in the Journey Builder when configuring steps. Creating the right connections is essential for developing Journeys that do more for support teams.

Adding a Connection

To create a new Connection, navigate to Components and select Connections:

Next, click on the +Connection button and choose a Connection Type:

Simply fill out the relevant fields, and save the Connection.
