Connections Types

What Are Connection Types

Connection types refer to where your data stack intersects with Y Meadows. For example, ticketing systems, email systems, databases, and CRMs can all be connection types. Connection Types refer to where users connect to the overall system while Connections refer to the process of creating specific instances of those systems.

For example, if your organization uses Salesforce for ticket management, you would add Salesforce as a connection type and configure it to store the secrets or passwords in the "Vault" (Y Meadows' secret keeper). Once the Connection Type is saved, you can create Connections with specific instances of your Salesforce.
